Doctoral Study Abroad
We encourage all doctoral students to spend some time abroad at another university or another relevant institution. The faculty is a member of the European Doctoral Programs Association in Management and Business Administration (EDAMBA). In the last few years, some of our doctoral students have participated in research visits at a number of excellent universities abroad, including:

Funding Opportunities
In the following you find information on funding opportunities for a stay abroad during your doctorate:
Erasmus+
The Erasmus+ programme offers financial support for internships abroad if they take place either in EU Member States or Third countries associated to the ERASMUS Programme (North Macedonia, Serbia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Turkey). The Erasmus internship funding also can also be used for research visits with a minimum duration of 2 months/60 days of doctoral students. Here you can find further information.
German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
The scholarships offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) support research stays abroad during a doctorate in Germany. Stays abroad can last between one and twelve months. The funding period can be split up over time and can also take place in different countries. These scholarships are available to applicants in all disciplines and it is also possible to apply if you do not have German citizenship. Here you can find further information.
Fulbright Germany
If you are working on your dissertation and would like to study your doctoral topic in greater depth at a US university or other academic institution of your choice, Fulbright Germany offers the opportunity of a four to six-month research fellowship. Applications are open to doctoral students from all disciplines who are enrolled in a doctoral programme leading to a scientific research doctorate. Applicants must be German citizens and must have completed a university degree at the time of application. Here you can find further information.
